dopamine | curated paradise
art direction + communication + launch event production
We went fully analog in Lanzarote to curate and create the art direction of the third edition of MADNN Magazine, Dopamine, produced during my Master’s in Art Direction and New Narratives at Elisava. Through my lens, I told the chronicle of our journey, on 35mm film.
Inside the magazine, I co-created the article Curated Paradise a 50s inspired exploration of curated experiences. Curated Paradise isn’t just a location. It's a lifestyle. It's a tax bracket. It's a way of being, heavily backed by branding consultants and mood board analytics. Dopamine is naturally triggered by novelty and reward. Yet if a place isn’t commercialized and engineered to maximize engagement, chances are you won’t explore it. The piece reveals how pleasure, marketed as freedom, can become a form of control, keeping us dependent on pre-packaged experiences.
